Bloom Plays

Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

Bloom Plays is the games studio of Bloom One LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information our games, Bloom accounts and this website handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers Cat Queens on iPhone and Android, any future Bloom Plays games that link to it, and bloomplays.com.

The short version
  • You can play without an account. A free Bloom account is optional and saves your progress so you can keep it on a new phone and across our games.
  • For an account we only need an email address, or a sign-in from Apple, Google or Facebook. We never ask for your phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
  • A few anonymous numbers, like how long a puzzle took, help us show "you beat X% of players" and run the daily leaderboard.
  • The apps show ads from Google and measure our own ads with Meta. Personalized ads and tracking only happen if you allow them.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time, right in the game.
  • We don't sell your information for money.

1. Playing without an account

Without an account, your game progress (levels, Puzzle IQ, rank, streaks, yarn, cats and outfits you've collected, settings) is stored only on your device and isn't sent to us. Deleting the app deletes it. Reminders you turn on are scheduled on your device; we don't run a notification server for them.

2. Your Bloom account

One Bloom account works in every Bloom Plays game. You can create one in the game's settings by:

With an account we store:

What Why
Your email address and the sign-in methods you've linked To sign you in, keep your account secure, and answer you if you contact support. We don't send marketing email unless you opt in.
A random account id To tie your saves, friends and purchases to you without using your name.
Your game progress (the same items listed in section 1) To back it up and restore it on any phone where you sign in.
Your leaderboard name and friends list So your friends follow you to a new phone. Names are still built from our word lists; you can't type a public name.
Purchases, such as removing ads (when available) To restore what you bought. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
Sign-in dates and basic device info (model, system version, app version) Security, preventing abuse, and fixing bugs.

We keep account data while your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings › Account › Delete account in any of our games, or by following these steps) permanently removes your email, saves, friends and leaderboard name within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep a record, such as of purchases.

3. Anonymous puzzle statistics

When you finish a puzzle, the game sends us which puzzle it was (for example "level 12" or "the daily for October 14"), your solve time, and how many mistakes and hints you used. We add the time to a count of solve times for that puzzle so we can tell players how their time compares. We do not store a player id, cookie or IP address with these numbers.

To stop one device from flooding the counts, our server makes a scrambled code from the connection's IP address and device type, using a secret key that changes every day, so the code can't be linked from one day to the next or turned back into an IP address. These codes are deleted after about two days.

4. Daily leaderboard and friends

If you finish the daily puzzle, the game posts your result to the daily leaderboard: a random player id (created on your device, or your account id if you're signed in), a playful name built from our word lists (like "Sleepy Biscuit"; you can't type your own), your time and your rank title. Friends are added by sharing a code or invite link that contains that random id. Leaderboard entries are deleted after about 14 days.

5. Gameplay analytics

The game records simple events such as "tutorial finished", "level completed" or "hint used" so we can see which parts are too hard or too easy. These events don't include your email or other contact details. They may be shared with Meta as described in section 7.

6. Advertising

The free apps show ads served by Google AdMob, including optional videos you can watch for a reward. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general location (city or country level), device type, and how you interact with ads.

Learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

7. Measuring our own ads and Facebook Login

We use Meta App Events (from Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram) to learn whether our ads on those services lead people to install and enjoy the game. The app tells Meta about installs, app opens and gameplay events like the ones in section 5, and how much ad revenue the app earns. Meta receives your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. If you choose Facebook Login, Meta also learns that you signed in to our game; see section 2 for what we receive. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

8. Service providers

Provider What for
Vercel Hosting this website and our game servers. Like any web host, it briefly processes IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Supabase Bloom accounts (sign-in and sending email codes), saved progress, the anonymous statistics and the daily leaderboard.
Google AdMob Ads (section 6).
Meta Measuring our ad campaigns and Facebook Login (section 7).
Apple and Google The App Store and Google Play deliver the app and handle purchases. Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, if you use them (section 2). They may share anonymous crash and usage reports with us if you've agreed to that on your device.

We don't sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws, including California's, treat letting ad partners use identifiers for personalized ads as "sharing". You can opt out at any time with the choices in section 9.

9. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your information. Email us and we'll help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

Our games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. You must be at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, to create a Bloom account. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account or given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

11. Security and where data is stored

We keep your information on secured, encrypted servers in the United States, accessed only by us and the providers above, and no longer than described in this policy. Sign-in codes expire within minutes. If something ever went wrong with your account's data, we would tell you as the law requires.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll let you know in the game or by email if you have an account.
